13.2 The EncryptedKey Element


The EncryptedKey element provides a way to include a key that has been encrypted by another key. It is typically used in such cases as enveloped encryption (see Chapter 2). For the EncryptedKey URI identifier, see Table 13-1. The detailed specification of this element appears in Chapter 15 on XML Encryption.
