Exercise 18: Cash Today


A number of utilities can be used to see the current processes running, including top, ps, and pstree. Any of these commands can be run within a terminal window, and you can take a screenshot using ksnapshot or the menu command in GNOME, shown in Figure 4.23.

To save a list of the processing running to a file, the command ps ef > /tmp/proc.txt will create a file that you can mail.
