Equipment List

• 2 Catalyst 3550 Switches using two 3550 X 24 Fast Ethernet ports with IOS 12.1 Enhanced Multilayer Software image (EMI).

• 6 Cisco Routers including 2600, 3600, and 3725, plus a backbone router (Cisco 7200) and a Frame Relay switch router (Cisco 4000) are required. Also, a 2500 or 2600 to be your communication server. The routers are loaded with Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2 Enterprise Mainline image. The exception is the Cisco Router 3725 that uses an IOS Release 12.2(T) image and the Catalyst 3550 series that uses an IOS Release 12.1 image.

  Follow the router interface specification outlined in Table 6-1.

NOTE

Although you will be provided with fully meshed physical connectivity (LAN and WAN), you might not use all routers or interfaces in all lab exercises. This is to optimize your setup for the next labs.
