DECnet Phase V (DECnet OSI)

DECnet Phase V, or DECnet OSI, is based on the OSI (Open Systems Interconnect) reference model, and is intended to supercede DECnet Phase IV. DECnet OSI provides backward compatibility with the proprietary protocols at the upper layers of DECnet Phase IV and introduces support for many standard OSI features.

DECnet OSI routing is performed by standard OSI routing protocols.
