Removing Text

To remove text, you may position the cursor at the next character after the one you would like to delete and use the DELETE key (BACKSPACE on PC-style keyboards). This deletes one character at a time.

LK-style keyboard users may use DEL-W to delete the current word. PC-style keyboard users have no such key; the oversized KP-PLUS key takes up two positions.

To remove a large amount of text, use the CUT function. Position your cursor at the first (or last) character you'd like to remove. Press SELECT (either the SELECT key or KP-DOT). This places an anchor at the current location. Now move your cursor to the other end of the text you'd like to remove. Intervening text will be shown in reverse video, highlighting the text you've selected. Press CUT (KP-6) to remove your text. To cancel a select range without removing any text, press RESET (PF1,KP-DOT).
