EDT Caveats

Please be aware that EDT cannot process lines longer than 255 characters. Longer lines will be truncated.

For lines longer than the display width (80 or 132 characters), EDT will display only the number of characters that will fit on the display. You will not be able to see the remaining characters unless you use the line mode SET NOTRUNCATE command. This causes the remainder of the long line to be wrapped to the next line of the display.

This is for display only; the line is not actually broken into pieces. To restore the default behavior, use SET TRUNCATE.
