Analyzing watchdog resets is not an easy task. A few PROM commands can be put to use; however, you may not always get useful information from your efforts.

If multiple watchdog resets occur, you may be able to obtain consistent results and identify the functions involved. Although watchdog resets are the result of a software problem, they are often related to (or caused by) a specific piece of hardware. This will hopefully be recognizable from the stack traces.

When dealing with a system suffering from watchdog resets, be prepared to look at the whole system, both the hardware and the software, for trouble spots.
