Prerequisites

I'll assume that you have a working knowledge of general C++ programming. All the examples in this chapter were tested using the GNU C++ compiler and GNU make . Some of the examples use the version 2.3.0 of the Qt user -interface library. If you don't already have Qt installed on your computer (you probably do if you are running a Linux system), you can find it at http://www.trolltech.com.
