Overview

Trigonometric functions and their curves are not used very often in this book, but they are still interesting because they provide useful ways of dealing with angles and because they are periodic (they have a repeating pattern). This chapter will provide a short introduction to trigonometry and introduce the following concepts.

• Definitions of the properties of a wave

• Some simple uses of trigonometric functions
