Chapter 18: Access and theWeb

Overview

For many businesses, the future is the Web. Because of that, we see the Microsoft Office environment becoming more web friendly with each release. To help coordinate this even further, Microsoft has substantially beefed up the capabilities of FrontPage 2003.

In this chapter, we explore the techniques needed to put Access on the Web. This topic could be a book in itself, but we will only be doing an overview some of the technology involved.

Among the technologies we will explore are dynamic technologies, Data Access Pages, and XML (Extensible Markup Language). You will also use concepts you have learned so far, such as events and SQL, in a web environment.
