Summary

The goal of this chapter was to give you a basic understanding of the various security tools you have available to you. We explored dialog boxes, passwords, users, and groups. We also looked at how to set permissions manually and with VBA code.

We then finished our discussion with an overview of the tools that are new to Access 2003. Specifically, we looked at the Jet 4.0 Sandbox and Macro Security. We also took a brief look at digital certificates.

We are now going to turn our attention to using Access with the other applications in Microsoft Office.
