Creating a DVD of your edited home movies with a personalized menu is an accomplishment comparable to creating an elaborate scrapbook for your photos. The difference is that you can make as many copies of your DVD as you want and distribute them to friends and family.

You have several options: You can burn your camcorder tapes straight to a DVD to watch them on TV or to back them up; you can quickly create a DVD with your DivX files; or you can create an elaborate menu for your video (edited or not) with customized videos, photos, and music.
