Chapter 7. Understanding and Creating Server Software Packages

This chapter discusses the creation of Server Software Packages and how you can use them to manage your servers. With Server Software Packages, you can create a package that runs scripts for preinstallation and postinstallation, for loading and unloading of NLMs and Java classes, for installation prerequisites to restrict package installation, and for installing software on your servers after it has been successfully transmitted to the target server through TED or placed on the server manually.
