About the Author

Andrew Davison is a lecturer in the department of computer engineering at Prince of Songkla University in Hat Yai, Thailand. He has lived in the "Land of Smiles" for over 10 years and would recommend it to anyone with a love of Asia. Prior to that, he was a lecturer in the department of computer science at the University of Melbourne ("the World's Most Livable City"). He received his Ph.D. from Imperial College in London ("When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life").

Andrew's abiding interest is his family: wife Supatra and son John. They are the joy and meaning of everything he does.

When not slumped in front of a computer or shouting at students, Andrew is fond of reading to John, and now knows more than he should about the Lorax, Angelina Ballerina, and Flat Stanley.
