Using the Windows XP WZC Service
For home or small office wireless networks, you use the WZC service to discover your wireless network. However, because the default settings for a wireless network are either to automatically determine the WEP key (for a WEP-based network) or use WPA with 802.1X authentication, the initial authentication process fails. You must manually configure the settings for your wireless network after it is discovered with the WZC service.
