Summary

Summary

The tools for troubleshooting wireless APs commonly consist of panel indicators, site survey software, SNMP support, and on-board diagnostics. If wireless clients cannot see the wireless AP, ensure that the wireless AP is beaconing with the correct information, is configured for the correct channel, and has the correct coverage volume. If wireless clients are unable to authenticate with the wireless AP, verify the configuration of 802.1X, RADIUS, and WPA. If wireless clients are unable to reach locations beyond the wireless AP, verify that the wireless AP is forwarding frames as a bridge and that the VLAN IDs are correctly configured.
