Summary

In this chapter, we examined the various expectations of different types of Team Foundation Server users. We covered in detail how to install Team Foundation Server in both a multiserver and a singleserver installation. We also showed how to install the proxy and build servers.

Next, we presented an overview of virtualization software and showed how to set up a virtual machine for evaluating Team Foundation. We discussed how, using both Team Explorer and the command-line tools, to install Team Explorer and how to administer Team Foundation.

Finally, we covered how to migrate some of your existing tools to Team Foundation Server.
