Q1:	What is the Preset Manager?
A1:	The Preset Manager is used to manage libraries of preset brushes, swatches, gradients, styles, patterns, contours , custom shapes , and tools. Use this dialog (found under the Edit menu) to organize your presets, including changing the order of and saving sets of presets.
Q2:	How do I determine what appears by default in my palettes, such as swatches?
A2:	The Preset Manager determines the default appearance of all preset palettes. Look under Edit>Preset Manager, and in the dialog choose your option from the Preset Type pop-up menu. Then select any presets you don't want and click the Delete button, click-and-drag them within the window to change the order, or click the Load button to load additional presets. Click Done to make this your default appearance for that preset palette.
Q3:	Is it possible to transfer from one machine to another the brushes I created?
A3:	Use Edit>Preset Manager and change the Preset Type pop-up menu to Brushes. Holding down the Command (PC: Control) key click on each of the brushes in the dialog that you'd like to transfer. Once they're all selected, click the Save Set button. Name the set in the resulting dialog, choose a location such as your desktop, and click Save. Then copy the ABR file to the other machine and launch Photoshop. Reopen the Preset Manager and choose Load to load these brushes into the Brushes presets.
Q4:	Can I add to the list of built-in shapes that are available from the flyout menu in the Custom Shape Picker?
A4:	Like any presets, you can add to the list of built-in Custom Shapes presets. Assuming you have defined some additional shapes (Edit>Define Custom Shape), go to Edit>Preset Manager and choose Custom Shapes from the Preset Type pop-up menu. Hold down Command (PC: Control) and click on each of your custom shapes in the dialog, then click Save Set. Name the set and save it in the Presets folder in Photoshop CS2's application folder (Photoshop CS2>Presets>Custom Shapes), then restart Photoshop and your shapes will appear in the pop-up menu in the Custom Shapes Picker (when you have the Custom Shape tool selected). ( Note : The same theory applies for all presets.)
Q5:	Can I change the order of the brushes?
A5:	Use Edit>Preset Manager and change the Preset Type pop-up menu to Brushes. Then simply drag the brush presets in the dialog to change their order of appearance. When you're finished, click Done. Look in the Brushes palette (in the Palette Well), and the brushes will be in your newly created order.
