Selections

Make sure you don't have something selected that doesn't need to be selected. Often when you're zoomed in on an image you might not see that you have an area selected. Or, you might have used the show/hide Extras command (found under the View menu or by pressing Command-H [PC: Control-H]) and forgotten about it. One of the simplest ways to be sure you don't have anything selected is to press Command-D (PC: Control-D) to deselect any current selection.
