Chapter Twenty. Make Your OwnImagine being able to make your own clothes anytime you needed them. Think about it: You're getting ready for a night out and you decide that your outfit would be perfect if you only had a red shirt. So you go to your closet, pull out a large swatch of red cloth, and moments later you have a red shirt. Okay, so there are a few key steps missing between grabbing the cloth and a finished shirt, but we're imagining here, remember? (You should have figured out by now that very little in these introductions is based on reality.) Okay, now imagine that you could do the same thing in Photoshop: fashion your own colors, brushes, shapes , and gradients whenever you need them. I know, it sounds far-fetchedcreating a shirt in a matter of moments would seem to be easier than making things in Photoshop. Luckily, it's not hard at all, and the best part is that once you've made your own "stuff" in Photo-shop, it's always ready and waiting so you never have to make it again. Wow, it's hard to believe, isn't it? Save time and avoid potential problems by creating your own custom versions of brushes, shapes, gradients, and more. It's pretty simple and once you're done, you can use these presets over and over again. Let's start with swatches as an example. |
