Chapter Review

While there are several great 3D modelers on the market that cost in the thousands of dollars, MilkShape provides some of their functionality at only $20. It would be difficult to find such a bargain in another software package. Not only is the program inexpensive, it also offers everything you need for the type of low-polygon modeling necessary for real-time game development. With the basic information you have gained in this chapter, it will be possible to move on to creating simple game models with MilkShape. In the next chapter, we’ll look at Paint Shop Pro, which will be used for creating 2D graphics and textures for our 3D models.
