Chapter 11. Enabling Accurate Estimates during Release Planning

The farmland in eastern Iowa has given way to rolling hills and prairie as we approach the end of the first day of our test drive. We've covered a lot of miles fast! We've been identifying hidden assumptions in stories, defining high-level acceptance tests for the stories, and estimating acceptance test times. The results of this work will improve the accuracy of release planning and iteration planning and thus provide better steering for the team. But wait! You, as the tester, can do even more to help the team estimate accurately.
