Test Site Requirements

It is advised that you arrive at the test site one hour before your exam. Take a little time to get comfortable with the surroundings at the test site, sign in at the registration desk, and take the time to study last-minute charts and details that you feel are your weak points. I suggest you use the Test Tips at the end of each chapter in this book as a final review preparation. Depending on the schedule of exams at the test site, generally, you can take care of the paperwork, find a quiet area to do some last-minute cramming, and then go take the test. If no one is scheduled before you, it might be possible to take the tests before your scheduled time.

You will be asked to provide two forms of identification at the testing site: a valid driver’s license and a credit card are sufficient. One form of identification must be a photo identification. You might be asked for two forms of ID that display your signature. When you are ready to enter the testing room, you will be given one or two blank sheets of paper and a marker or pencil. You cannot take any other books or notes with you. Cell phones are not allowed and you will not be allowed to leave the examination room until you finish the exam. Once you have signed in at the testing center, a testing coordinator will direct you to a computer that will have your test ready to go. You might be required to enter a security ID before you start the test. This ID is normally your social security number. The testing coordinator will inform you of any special procedures for the particular test center.
