Chapter 23: Customizing Project 2002

Overview

Similar to previous versions of Project, Microsoft Project 2002 makes it easy to customize the Project environment so that it acts just the way you want it to. You can set options that affect the Global template, and some that affect only the currently active project. You can customize toolbars and menu bars so they display the buttons and menu features you use most frequently. In addition, you can base your project on one of the nine templates included with Project 2002—or you can create your own user templates for use with future projects. After you get everything the way you like it, Project’s Organizer can then help you share your customized project setting with other projects. This chapter covers the following topics:
