As with individuals, not much has changed about the way teams work. What has changed in the last five years is the attention given to team building and team quality within software development. The project leadership Declaration of Interdependence raises team behavior to a top-level concern: "We boost performance through group accountability for results and shared responsibility for team effectiveness."
