Rendering

Rendering is the portion of the game in which the information that has been determined to exist on the screen at the given time is drawn and made visible to the player. The visual feedback is a critical point of immersion, allowing the player to interact with the game. The quality of the graphics and the realism engendered by the rendering is of particular importance. This book contains discussions relating to rendering in 2D and 3D game applications later. It is important to note that these things occur in this manner so a basic architecture can be constructed with the understanding of where each piece will have its place when completed.
