Obtaining the ASAPIX Version 7 and ASDM Software | Securing Your Business with Cisco ASA and PIX Firewalls

To obtain a version of the ASA/PIX version 7 operating system, follow these steps:

Step 1.	Log on to Cisco.com using a valid username and password.
Step 2.	Navigate to Technical Support and then Downloads.
Step 3.	When you are on the download pages, navigate to Cisco Secure Software and then Cisco Secure PIX Firewall Software. Note Occasionally, Cisco changes the look of its website, so these steps might vary depending on when you download the software.
Step 4.	Proceed to the location marked Download PIX Firewall Software. On this page, you see the binary image for the PIX version 7 operating system.
Step 5.	Click the image name. You will be prompted to open or save the image. Click Save and put the images in a safe location on your PC; the file will later be transferred to the home directory of your TFTP server. If you have a TFTP server on your system already, you can save the PIX file directly into the home directory of the TFTP server. Carefully read and adhere to the warnings and restrictions that refer to federal law and shipping secure software to restricted countries.
Step 6.	Repeat this procedure for the ASDM software.
