Animated GIF files are about the easiest thing on the Web to use. All you need to do is find a source for them or create new ones of your own and then insert them like a regular image file.

Be careful when you select animated GIF files because a lot of them are very cartoon-like and repeat over and over, which can become annoying to your viewer.

One great source of animated GIF files is http://www.animationfactory.com. If you do a search for free animated GIFs , you will find many more sites than you have time to check out.

1.
Insert Your Animated GIF

Select Image from the Insert menu and click on the Choose File button to locate an image to insert. Select an image and click OK .

2.
Resize the Image

Click on the image and, while holding down the Shift key, click on the resize handle in the corner of the image and resize it.

You can make any changes to an animated GIF as you would for a regular image.

3.
Preview Your Page (and Animation)

Save your file and preview it in the browser.
