The Web is, above all, a visual medium. So when you build web pages, you'll need some way to get photos and graphics for your pages.

It's easy to get them into your PC using Windows XP. Whether you want to take pictures with a digital camera and import them into XP or use a scanner to get your prints into XP, it's easy to do. And you can also easily capture screenshots from your PC as well.

Not all graphics are suitable for the Web, though. So you'll also learn in this chapter how to make your pictures web friendly.
