Scripting

Maxscript Maya's MELscripting ability is nearly identical, with the same abilities to grab code from a listener and drag it to the Maya Shelf for often-repeated commands. MELscript is deeper into its host program than maxscript; in fact, every part of Maya runs based on MELscripts. MEL is an integral part of Maya's overall design.
