Environmental Effects

Volume lights In Maya, you can easily set these lights by using the Light Effects entry in the Attribute Editor for Spot lights. Click the icon to the right of the Light Fog entry to apply a Light Fog effect to the light. You can also set up how the dust cone should appear.

Environment Fog This effect is part of the Render Globals window, with an option to apply the fog in post.
