Acknowledgments

Many people contributed to the production of this book. Without them, this book would be much worse. Paul Karjo, a brilliant programmer, did the preliminary work of the applications in Chapters 3 and 5. I would like to thank him for his creativity and help. Maria Francisco, a graphic designer in Bali, created the images for Chapter 3. Thanks!

Alwi Wijaya, the technical editor for this book, not only reviewed all chapters and applications, but I also consulted him on technical problems many times. Liron Shapira tested all the applications and provided valuable feedback. A million thanks to Alwi and Liron.

I would also like to thank the other production members at Apress for their invaluable support: Sofia Marchant and Laura Cheu (project managers), Kari Brooks (production editor), Kim Wimpsett (copy editor), Dan Appleman (editorial director), and all the other folks who worked hard to make the publication of this book possible. Thank you.
