The small example that you ve looked at in this chapter is only one extension of ATL Server. You should be able to apply the techniques we ve covered here in your applications to suit your needs. Even if you have no need to extend ATL Server, the IRequestStats interface is a good, nonintrusive way of obtaining information about your application as it s running ”one more way that ATL Server helps you build high-performance, high-availability applications.

In Chapter 10 we presented an overview of the ATL Server Web service support, and as you might have expected, ATL Server provides a lot more power and flexibility. In the next chapter we take a more advanced look at Web services and drill down into some of the more powerful functionality the library provides.
