The Analyst s Role in the Rational Unified Process

The Analyst's Role in the Rational Unified Process

The RUP product provides a more fine-grained representation of the analyst's role by describing its more specialized roles:

  • System analyst

  • Business designer

  • Business-model reviewer

  • Business-process analyst

  • Requirements reviewer

  • Requirements specifier

  • Test analyst

  • User -interface designer

In this chapter, we captured all of these specialized roles ”with the exception of test analyst ”within the super-role of analyst. It should also be noted that many organizations may consider the tasks of a user-interface designer to be developer tasks, rather than analyst tasks .
