The local repository is another way of working offline. Log on to the R/3 System through SAP Assistant, get any RFCs, functions, or BAPIs you want, and save them into the local repository file. The SAP Assistant local repository file uses the file type SDB. You can create multiple local repositories, each containing a different set of metadata.
Log on to the R/3 system from which you want to copy the business objects and highlight the items you want to save. You may save either the entire BAPI or RFC, or just a subset of it. When the business objects are in a local repository file, you can view them without logging on to the R/3 system.
