Application server vendors will all extend the JSR 77 model in some way or another. This is natural because JSR 77 represents the baseline for management functionality in a J2EE-compliant product. The specification specifically allows for this, and it would be difficult to imagine an application server product that did not include at least some management function above and beyond that included in the JSR 77 models. Besides the application server vendors themselves , applications designed to run in J2EE environments may now expect to be able to extend the management system of the application server to include application-specific services. |
