Chapter 9. Configuring the Message Transfer Agent

Every GroupWise domain must have a message transfer agent defined for it. The message transfer agent (MTA) has three major responsibilities in the GroupWise system:

• Transferring messages between post offices and domains

• Writing administrative changes to the domain database (WPDOMAIN.DB)

• Transferring messages to or from gateways for transport to or from other mail systems
