Enabling MTA-Direct Connectivity (GWMTP)

By setting up Internet addressing like this, we've not only enabled the Internet Agent (GWIA) to use this format, but also allowed our MTAs to connect directly to each other, connecting your GroupWise automatically to any other GroupWise system and thereby exchanging GroupWise information on a much higher level than the basic SMTP level. This option is discussed in much greater detail in Chapter 34.
