Your Windows XP Desktop

Up to this point, you've had no real need to use your mouse at all, because the remote control has been doing all the work interfacing with your Media Center PC during the setup process. When you finally do move your mouse ”whether you give it a shove along the desktop, click a button, or give the scroll wheel a spin ”the first thing you'll notice is the appearance of the toolbar view, which adds a menu bar and onscreen transport controls to the Media Center display (see Figure 5.1).
