Questions to Consider

Based on what you have read, consider the following questions and how you would reply to them:

  • Do you critique your job interviews and note how you thought you came across to the interviewers?

  • Do you write down the questions that were asked and who, by position, such as Human Resources person or IT technical person, asked each question?

  • Do you practice your interview techniques and answering the most common questions that interviewers ask?

  • Do you practice interviewing, such as having friends ask you job interview questions and critique your response, including body language?

  • Do you practice your interview techniques in front of a mirror so you can see yourself as others see you?

  • Do you have an "interview portfolio"?

  • If so, have you practiced using it so that you become adept at using it during interviews?

  • Do you research the corporations where you are scheduled for interviews so that you are intimately familiar with the corporation and tailor your interview specifically to that corporation?
