Testing the New NIC


Check to make sure the system recognizes your new NIC with the command:

 #ifconfig -a | more 

You should now see your new NIC listed along with its associated IP address. If not, try entering the command to manually bring up the NIC you just defined (for example):

 #ifup eth1
