Viewing Layers

Most layer management is accomplished through the Layer palette, which displays each layer and its order in the layer stack. By default, Paint Shop Pro will display the Layer palette; however, if you were following the examples in this book, you may have turned it off.

NOTE

Optionally, you can use the F8 key to toggle the Layer palette on or off.

Paint Shop Pro reveals quite a bit of information in the Layer palette, including the following:

On occasion, you might want to hide particular layers so that you can more easily view and edit objects on the remaining layers.

In this example, Raster 1 isn't goneit's simply hidden. Notice the yellow triangle that was drawn on Raster 1 has disappeared.
