Modifying Selections

[ LiB ]

For whatever reasonwhether you have multiple objects to select, your hand wasn't quite steady enough when you made the initial selection, or you've just changed your mindyou might need to modify a selection. You don't need to deselect and start over. You can add to or subtract from your initial selection.

Reversing the Selection

Sometimes it's easier to select all the areas except the area you want to edit. If that's the case, Paint Shop Pro includes a method that allows you to reverse your selection area.

Subtracting from a Selection

Just as easily as you can add to a selection, you can subtract areas from a selection. This function works with selections you made using either the Shape Selection tool or the Freehand Selection tool.
