Opening an image file puts a copy of that image into the computer's memory and onto your screen so that you can work on it. If you make changes, be sure to save the file again. You can open files you've created and saved, files you've downloaded from the Internet, files you've downloaded from your digital camera, or files you've scanned from a scanner.
Paint Shop Pro tracks the previous four files you've worked with, making it easy to select one of them through the File menu.
To work on a previously created filewhether it's a file you created from scratch, a photograph, or a piece of clip art from another programyou can use the Open dialog box to locate your file. You can also open multiple files and easily switch between them.
NOTE
You can also open an existing file by pressing Ctrl+O or by choosing Open from the File menu.
NOTE
To open multiple files at the same time, hold down the Ctrl key and click on each additional file you want to open.
