So far in this chapter, you've learned how to modify the color and sharpness in old photographs to restore them to a newer look. Sometime you might want to make a current photograph look older and more aged.
You want to remove a lot of the color, but not all of it.
Most older photographs, due to older technology, weren't as clear as the images taken today. That less clear look is called noise.
Rather than have the noise "dots" randomly placed, they should be in a more even pattern.
Finally, for a great additional aging effect, add one of Paint Shop Pro's effects called Aged Newspaper.
