Keyboard shortcuts are keys or key combinations you can press as alternatives to selecting menu commands. You may have noticed the keyboard shortcuts listed on the right side of several of the menus. You can use these shortcuts to execute commands without using the mouse to activate menus . You may want to memorize these keyboard shortcuts. Not only will they speed your productivity, but they will also help decrease wrist strain caused by excessive mouse usage.

When several keys are listed together, you hold down the first key while tapping the second key. For example, if you see Ctrl+N, you first press and hold down the Ctrl key, tap the N, then release the Ctrl key.
