If you created information in Word, or even data in a Word table that you later think would be better if it were in an Excel spreadsheet, you can easily convert the Word document to Excel. You use the Windows clipboard to copy the text from one program to another.
If you copy regular Word paragraph text into an Excel worksheet, Excel will place each paragraph in a single cell .
If you copy a Word table, when you paste it into the Excel workbook, Excel will treat each cell of the Word table as a cell in the Excel worksheet.
