Part 12. Running a Presentation

You can tell PowerPoint exactly how you want your slide show to run. You can choose to present the show yourself, or set up a slide show to run on its own. You can also set the show up as a self-guided presentation, allowing the user to view and interact with the show at his or her own pace.

If you plan on giving the presentation yourself, PowerPoint includes a variety of tools you can use to assist you with the show, including a tool for rehearsing the presentation.

If you want to take your show on the road, so to speak, PowerPoint includes a feature for transferring your presentation package to a CD-ROM. The Package for CD feature creates a compact file along with all the necessary multimedia clips, narration, and other slide items needed to run the show.
