Click the Tables and Borders button on the Standard toolbar to open the Tables and Borders toolbar.
To change the border style, click the Border Style drop-down arrow.
Select a style from the list.
Another way to customize your slide tables is to format the borders surrounding the table cells. For example, you might add a thick border around cells containing important data. This helps to draw attention to the data.
Controlling Border Thickness
To make a border appear thicker or thinner, click the down arrow next to the Border Width button in the Tables and Borders toolbar and choose a line width for the border.
Click the down arrow next to the Borders button on the Tables and Borders toolbar.
Select the type of border you want. For example, click the All Borders option to apply the customized border to all sides of the selected table cells.
PowerPoint applies the settings to the selected cells.
Add color to your cell borders to really make them stand out. To do so, click the Border Color button in the Tables and Borders toolbar and choose a color for the border.
Adding Color Behind the Cells
You can add background color behind any cell in your table. See the task "Changing Cell Background Color" earlier in this part to learn more.
