PUT FREQUENTLY USED FILES IN YOUR TOOLBAR

Okay, you know the sidebar is for storing frequently used files and folders, but it can get full pretty fast. If yours gets "packed," try parking some of your most-used files right on the toolbar at the top of your Finder window. Here's how: Click-and-drag the file up to the toolbar. Hold it there for just a second, and you'll see a thin rectangle appear, letting you know to release the mouse button, and when you do, the file will appear in the toolbar, where it's always just one click away. If you decide to remove it one day, just hold the Command key and drag it off the toolbar.
